The tenth annual Greater IPAC Science Symposium will be held on Tuesday and
Wednesday, May 10 and 11, 2011 in the Beckman Institute Auditorium on the Caltech Campus.  The Symposium is a forum for science staff, postdocs and students of the "Greater IPAC" (IPAC, Spitzer Science Center and NExSci) to present and discuss their astronomical research in an informal setting.  All members of the Pasadena astronomy community are invited to attend and hear about the exciting and diverse research being carried out at IPAC.

Format will be ten minute oral talks. The talks are meant to be informal; some levity is encouraged! The goal of the talks is to expose the community to the research being done at IPAC. Wondering who all those post-docs and students are on the KS third floor? Who is that person you keep seeing at the microwave? What do all these people around here actually do, anyway? Here's where you can find out!

After the talks, the symposium  will be concluded with the "State of IPAC" presentation by Executive Director George Helou, followed by a catered reception in Keith-Spalding 410.  All Greater IPAC staff are welcome and encouraged to attend.

IPAC members who wish to make a contributed science presentation are asked to submit a talk title no later than April 15th to Jason Surace and Stefanie Wachter (jason@ipac.caltech.edu & wachter@ipac.caltech.edu).  Email submission is preferred.  If the topic of your presentation is not immediately apparent from the title, please provide a descriptive sentence for scheduling purposes.  Abstracts are not necessary.
