Beginning in 2017 I started working for what was then called the NEOCam, now reformulated and renamed the NEO Surveyor. NEO Surveyor is a small space telescope operating at 4-10 microns. It is explicitly designed to survey the sky for "rocks" in the solar system i.e. asteroids and their ilk. It is currently in an extended Phase B, which in NASA-speak is the formulation (design) phase, transitioning to Phase C (construction) in 2023 on-track for a launch in early 2026. I am working on an image simulator for producing simulated raw data for pipeline and algorithmic testing.
